birth control pills cause weight loss?

i’m starting on Yaz to help regulate my periods and help with PMDD. I’ve heard that some birth control pills cause you to gain weight, and sometimes women lose weight. I’ve been struggling with weight loss for awhile and gaining weight is the last thing i want. Did anyone find that BC helped with weight loss? or does anyone have any advice for me regarding birth control pills? thanks.
also, i’ve been reading some really bad horror stories about Yaz. i havent started taking it yet b/c i am waiting for my period to come, but did anyone just have an awful reaction to it? im a little worried.

Can birth control pills cause weight loss?

I have been taking the Yasmin since December 30th of last year. I have since loss 16 pounds, with no dramatic change in diet or exercise routine. My doctor put me on this particular pill so I would not gain weight, as I have always been slightly overweight. Have you heard anything about the pill causing weight loss?

Do birth control pills affect weight loss?

In the case of a 24 year old woman, eats very well, exercises 5-6 days per week, losing weight very slowly. She takes Yas. Does anyone have any experience with the effects of weight loss and birth control pills?

Birth Control and Weight Loss?

My lady just had our 2nd child and now shes taking birth control that has little hormones in it but its been 2 months and she hasn’t lost any weight. We climb up a steep hill on a daily bases and eat very healthy food. Im loosing allot of weight but she isn’t. So whats the problem? When we had our first one she lost 50 lbs no problem but she wasn’t taking birth control.

What is the best option for a little child that is under weight from child birth to gain rapid weight?

There was complication during delivery that affected her weight. She is 1 year+ now but still under weight. There are times she starts gaining weight but losses it when she falls ill.
