birth control pills cause weight loss?

i’m starting on Yaz to help regulate my periods and help with PMDD. I’ve heard that some birth control pills cause you to gain weight, and sometimes women lose weight. I’ve been struggling with weight loss for awhile and gaining weight is the last thing i want. Did anyone find that BC helped with weight loss? or does anyone have any advice for me regarding birth control pills? thanks.
also, i’ve been reading some really bad horror stories about Yaz. i havent started taking it yet b/c i am waiting for my period to come, but did anyone just have an awful reaction to it? im a little worried.

Can birth control pills cause weight loss?

I have been taking the Yasmin since December 30th of last year. I have since loss 16 pounds, with no dramatic change in diet or exercise routine. My doctor put me on this particular pill so I would not gain weight, as I have always been slightly overweight. Have you heard anything about the pill causing weight loss?

please no lectures on health- i’m not considering using weight loss pills, i’ve just been wondering about this.

Do you think weight loss pills are a good solution?

Some friends suggested to try some weight loss pills in order to lose about 20lb. i`m not overweight but still wanna lose some weight, i`m really busy, don`t have time to go to the gym or follow a regular workout. What is the best natural weight-loss remedy out there?I am not looking for pills though!?

I am a dancer but since I stopped dancing for a year or so, I gained about 20lbs. I have started dancing again but this weight is soooo hard to lose. I am on a good balanced diet but I need a supplement which will enhance my weight-loss. I am not very interested in pills or anything. I mean something very natural like green-tea, lemonade diet, any suggestions?

My doctor told me there is no weight loss pills on the market?

I am about 70 lbs over normal weght and when went to my doctor he told me there is no weight loss pills on the market. I am thinkng how can that be? They have medicine for everything!

And I am not relying on pills I do diet and excersize, this would just be additonal help.
